A followup to the Ropeburn cassette and pre-cursor to Georgia, this casstte sees Patti Kim create melancholic music for the forlorn kids on theis 1997 release. Kickstand #9 said that, "it's moodier [than the Ropeburn cassette] and there's a lot of electronic noises and keyboard stuff. The vocals are still muffled enough to be pretty and mysterious. With Patti's voice it doesn't really matter what she's saying, it's just like another instrument." Eye Weekly mentioned Splitsville in their May 8th issue: "The natural ambience of the four-track is exploited on this swell eight-song cassette.
